Donal Minehan joined MCW Lawyers in 1976 and became a principal in 1985. He has a degree in law from Sydney University and was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 1976.
Donal has many years of general legal experience with a strong focus in the litigation area. He has been involved in family law and estate litigation for forty five plus years and in 1992 became a Family Law Accredited Specialist.
Donal regularly appears in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court. He also appears in the Supreme Court for estate litigation and family provision claims. He can advise in all areas of family law, including property disputes and is a qualified mediator. He is trained in Collaborative Law.
Donal is experienced at handling complex financial disputes and works with accountants, valuers and other professionals in order to reach beneficially structured financial arrangements for his clients.
"Our main focus is to help minimise, where we can, the trauma of the separation process", says Donal. "We discuss with our clients a number of early options in order to avoid lengthy and sometimes costly court cases. Whether it's mediation or some other form of resolution, there are alternatives."
